Theme: Points from the Health Policy White Paper 2017, “Lengthening Healthy Lifespans to Boost Economic Growth” (The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ)/The European Chamber of Commerce in Japan (EBC))
The aim of this white paper is to introduce evidence-based global best practices that can assist the Japanese government in the development and implementation of relevant policies toward healthcare and the health of citizens. Through the insights gleaned in this white paper, the Japanese government, medical institutions, academic research institutes, the industrial world, and other regions are expected to promote international collaboration with overseas countries related to global health.
This kickoff seminar will be carried forward with the title “(provisional) Lengthening Healthy Lifespans to Boost Economic Growth (Japan-Europe-America co-creation project),” to explore the possibility of collaboration between Japan, Europe, and America.

The European Business Council in Japan (EBC) is the trade policy arm of 16 European National Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations in Japan and has been operating to improve the trade and investment environment for European companies in Japan since 1972. The EBC currently works through 26 committees for around 2,500 local European corporate and individual members with some 350 companies participating directly.
